As I lay beneath the parchment skin, I feel transported as the walls glow translucently with the bison spirits running over the plains. I feel safe as I am surround and protected by the sacred hoop and the circle of life. I look up and see the sky and am mesmerized by the blue of the great Mysterium and it casts a spell over me. It is here where the circle has a beginning with no end, that I can begin my vision quest for the intersection of the feminine and masculine and the Wakan. The earth floors provide the grounding needed to evoke the holding power of the sacred, while the poles are the trails to the spirit world where I call on my ancestors for guidance and comfort. It is this dwelling that is not only home but the connection to the past and future.
