An oil catch can is essential on any performance vehicle to protect the engine from elevated crankcase blow-by accumulated during aggressive driving. Excess oil-saturated air recirculating back into the intake stream degrades combustion efficiency, fouls intake valves, and reduces thermal efficiency in intercooled applications. Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.
The Radium PCV Catch Can Kit Fluid Lock 20-0098-FL runs inline with the 3/8" PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve. At idle, low-load cruising, and deceleration, the PCV hose experiences metered vacuum that would otherwise draw crankcase vapour, unspent fuel, and oil sludge directly into the intake manifold. Because Radium catch cans are pressure-sealed, they are safe for boosted applications — no check valve required when connecting to the intake manifold.
This kit operates as a closed-loop system — it does not vent to atmosphere (VTA), making it emissions and track legal. Clean, filtered air is routed back through the engine to promote negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance, while preventing oil vapours from entering the cabin.
Compatibility Note: This kit is designed for 2000-2009 RHD and 2006-2009 LHD Honda S2000 models. It is not compatible with 2000-2005 LHD models unless the cruise control module is removed.
