The PRP RB30 SOHC Street Ignition Timing Kit is a modern, simplified replacement for the factory cam angle sensor (CAS) found on single cam Nissan Holden RB30 engines.

Designed as an entry-level upgrade, this kit replaces the ageing OEM CAS with a reliable Hall Effect sensor setup, delivering a clean and consistent signal for your ECU—without the complexity of a full crank trigger system.

Built for straightforward installation, the Street kit mounts directly to the camshaft and requires no modification to the harmonic balancer, making it an ideal solution for street-driven vehicles or anyone looking to upgrade from a failing factory unit.

This is a cam-based ignition timing solution only and it does not include a crank trigger sensor.

Power Recommendation

Suitable for street and performance applications up to approximately 500–600whp.

For higher horsepower builds, or engines seeing extreme RPM and load, consider upgrading to:

These systems include both crank and cam sensors to eliminate timing inaccuracies caused by belt stretch.

ECU Setup Notes

• Trigger pattern: 24-1 (camshaft speed)
• As this kit runs off the camshaft, it operates at half engine speed
• ECU configuration will need to reflect a cam-based trigger input
• This kit using a Single Sensor will NOT WORK with a Haltech Platinum Pro or any other older model ECU that does not support a 24-1 cam trigger
