If any compatibility issues with specific keys (such as boldface u, v, i, j, k, G in PDF editors), be sure to check the font you are using is appropriate as certain fonts may have limited characters. For best performance, we recommend Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman, Cambria Math, Latin Modern. However, certain PDF editors may not display these characters and another type of platform to type math is recommended.
Compatible Keyboard Languages:
Choose 1 of the following language options:
-US QWERTY only
-International English QWERTY (US, UK, French Canadian, Canadian Multilingual, India, Irish, Scottish, US International).
Notes:
Mac OS must be used with the Unicode Hex language input (a US QWERTY based keyboard layout with the ability to recognize Unicode special characters). This is done using the Mac installer on the Keyboard Setup & Downloads tab, or the Manual Mac OS Setup Page.
AZERTY Operating Systems, and other foreign languages Operating Systems are not compatible with the math keyboard code. The user would need to add an additional keyboard input language for US QWERTY (or an English QWERTY variant) to their computer and switch to that input mode whenever using the math keyboard.
