The lands ceded to various Native American tribes are marked. The panhandle of Texas is marked as the home to the Kiowas Indians and the Comanches Hunting Grounds. The Llano Estacado or Staked Plains, one of the largest mesas or tablelands on the North American continent and a truly hauntingly beautiful unique part of the county, is clearly marked in West Texas.
