Our very first exclusive to commemorate the opening of Whisky Situation Aberdeen, Aberdeen's largest whisky bar and cigar lounge.
We chose this cask for it's chocolatey woody taste & the preference profile of many of our locals who we listened to. This is the first of many but this bottle is for us to say the least, historic and of great significance.
The label reflects our brand colours and has no colouring. No filtration. Just good ridiculously drinkable whisky from a brand that has worked hard without mass marketing to make the best whisky they can.
Nose: Inviting aromas of dried figs, black cherries and alluring spices married with toffee & stewed fruits
Palate: Sweet layers of chocolate fudge cake, maple syrup and candied pecans overlaying toasted oak, cinnamon and tobacco spices.
Finish: Cosy impressions of coffee cake, Mejool dates and grilled pineapple fading into a sweet star anise and sugared almond linger
Glencadam’s new make character of flowers and pear drops is a direct result of a distillation regime that maximises reflux – the lyne arms on the stills are angled upwards. Its mature character, especially when matured in refill American oak, has a soft buttery quality that adds a silkiness to the palate.
