This beautiful antique long guard chain dates to the late 19th Century. Crafted from solid 15ct gold, it features very tight faceted belcher links all the way round. The gold is buttery and bright with a really wonderful patina and the links are secure and free of dinks.

Solid gold long guards have been a fashion staple for over a century, and at this long length, they are getting rarer, and are highly sought after. Their versitility means they can be worn alone or in a stack with longer or shorter chains.

This chain measures 41 inches long, 2mm wide, and weighs a comfortable 19.16g. It can be worn once or twice around the neck and the dog clip can hold your favourite charms or pendants.

This is a dream investment piece, and one that will ensure many more lifetimes. Although it is not marked, it has been verified forr 15ct Gold and that makes it no older than 1932, when 15ct Gold was replaced by 14ct Gold.
