Wiring a trailer harness, splicing an electrical panel, or rebuilding a harness after a rodent chews through it — none of that goes smoothly when you're squeezing a basic open-barrel crimper that either crushes the connector or barely grips it. A bad crimp fails at the worst time: lights out on the highway, a short in a freshly rebuilt dash.
The VEVOR AWG22–10 Ratcheting Crimping Tool Set handles insulated and heat shrink terminals with a precision ratchet that won't release until the crimp is fully seated. Three color-coded jaws take the guesswork out of gauge selection: red for AWG22–16, blue for AWG16–14, yellow for AWG12–10. Star-wheel adjustment lets you dial in crimp force for different terminal brands.
Body is high-carbon steel, quenched at 800°C to 48 HRC. Electroplated finish resists corrosion. Long handles allow single-hand operation. The kit ships with a wire stripping pliers, 210 assorted heat shrink tubes, and work gloves — you can start the job without a trip to the parts store.
Good for: Automotive wiring (trailer connectors, accessory circuits, stereo harnesses), marine and RV electrical work, home shop repairs, any job terminating insulated or heat shrink connectors in the AWG22–10 range.
Not for: Heavy battery cable lugs (AWG8 and up need a different tool), non-insulated open-barrel terminals, high-production environments where a bench-mount or hydraulic crimper makes more sense.
