Self-Winding Mechanical Model with 40mm Case Size

The long-awaited model with a case size of 40 mm is now available in the Heritage Collection, equipped with the caliber 9S6 series. The simple silver dial, which evokes the identity of Grand Seiko, enhances legibility by suppressing radiation.

The strong, three-dimensional indexes are placed well outside the calendar frame, harmonizing with the presence of the case, creating a well-proportioned, imposing face. The case design follows the standard Grand Seiko design with a sense of presence and luxury that will never grow old.

Caliber 9S65 Features

The caliber 9S65 "Mechanical Automatic Winding 3 Days" lasts for approximately 3 days at maximum winding. The latest balance spring and MEMS escapement (ankle, escapement wheel) improve accuracy stability during actual use.

Through the see-through back cover, the wearer can enjoy watching the mechanical movement spinning time with great precision.

This model, with its well-balanced combination of presence, wearability, and high legibility, is designed to be a timepiece that can be used for a lifetime, marking precious moments together.

9S Mechanical Craftsmanship

The 9S Mechanical is made by a manufacture that combines the latest technology with the skills of master watchmakers, ensuring that you experience high precision with every use.

A mechanical watch, composed of 200 to 300 parts, depends on precise machining for accuracy. To achieve this, Grand Seiko uses advanced MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) technology in the manufacture of the escapement.

The Role of Skilled Craftsmanship

Simply assembling parts will not achieve the precision expected of a Grand Seiko watch. Craftsmen with a deep understanding of mechanical watches manually adjust and assemble parts in increments of 1/100 mm, ensuring the 9S Mechanical ticks with unmatched precision.
