La fabrication de bijoux, et en particulier de bracelets en perles de verre, est un art qui remonte à plusieurs générations au Népal. Les techniques de fabrication, les motifs et les dessins sont transmis de mère en fille.
Ces bracelets renvoient la riche culture et l’histoire du Népal.
Les femmes népalaises avec lesquelles nous travaillons sont indépendantes et fabriquent les bracelets sur leur temps libre au coeur de leur village dans le district de Sindhuli à environ 3h de route de Katmandou.
Avec une grande dextérité, les femmes enfilent les perles de verre (technique de crochet) sur un fil résistant, créant souvent des motifs et des designs spécifiques, une apparence unique. Chaque bracelet est différent.
Ces bracelets sont portés pour leur beauté esthétique et aussi pour leur signification culturelle et spirituelle.

The Nepalese women with whom we work are independent and make the bracelets in their free time in the heart of their village in the Sindhuli district, about a 3-hour drive from Kathmandu.
With great dexterity, women thread the glass beads (crochet technique) onto strong thread, often creating specific patterns and designs, a unique appearance. Each bracelet is different.
These bracelets are worn for their aesthetic beauty and also for their cultural and spiritual significance.
